#GilasPilipinas & Gabe Norwood Made Me Use TWITTER Again

>> Tuesday, September 2, 2014

The way Gilas Pilipinas played against basketball powerhouse Argentina made me Twitter active.

I am not really an active Twitter user. But last night, I can't help but rue the fact that I am not that fast enough in creating tweets. I felt the need for an outlet to my excitement.

The defense, the passing, and the conversion of baskets by Gilas Pilipinas, when they made that run in the opening quarter, seemed to me on a different level. And they did that when Andray Blatch sat down due to early foul trouble.

I am not that proud of my twitter skills but I can never be more prouder to be a Filipino and to be represented by the most gutsy basketball national team of my country.

And definitely because of these awesome dunks by Gabe Norwood.

I am now following Steve Nash via Twitter

>> Saturday, November 6, 2010

My favorite NBA player - Steve Nash - was in the list of the top NBA players strutting their stuff on Twitter.

The article said this about Mr. Steve Nash's tweeting;

The calm, cool, and collected Phoenix Suns point guard is just that on his Twitter page. Not only is he interactive with fans, the epitome of the team player also tweets quite a bit about different charities that he supports, and how the follower can become a part of them.

Naturally, I immediately opened my own Twitter and followed him.

And after which, I retweeted his most recent twit.

I am looking forward to finally interacting with him in the coming days and connect with fellow Phoenis Suns fans as well.

My recent interest in Twitter, coincided with the news that my favorite sports league, the National Basketball Association (NBA) has recently reached two million followers in NBA Twitter page. This is a social media milestone for a sports league.

The league says its official feed at www.twitter.com/nba, plus feeds from its 30 teams and more than 165 players have drawn more than 23 million combined followers.

According to Twitter, the NBA set a record on the site when fans generated 3,085 tweets per second following the Lakers’ victory over the Celtics in Game 7 of the NBA finals.

Source.
Naturally, I became interested in the drive to reach 3 million followers. I am now officially a follower of NBA on Twitter & I am follower number 2,005,664 .
