TNT Tropang Texters Ran Down San Miguel Beermen 99 - 77, A win away from Philippine Cup

The Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters ran roughshod against the San Miguel Beermen enroute to a 99 - 77 shellacking of the Beermen and take a 3 - 2 series lead in the 2011 PBA Philippine Cup finals.

I was able to catch the game on the tricycle terminal near our place. To this day, Channel 9 signal is still low in our area. And the atmosphere of amidst fellow PBA fans is a wonderful experience for the better.

I caught the tail end of the first half were the Texters took the lead behind Jimmy Alapag and Ryan Reyes, the score 52 - 44. The third quarter saw the Beermen trying their best to gain headway but fell behind further still 74 - 64.

When the fourth quarter started, Jimmy Alapag and the texters seemed to find another gear, running their way against Beermen. Alapag kept running the break, finding De Ocampo in numerous occasions. And when Larry Fonacier knocked 3 successive three-pointers, the haymaker has landed.

TNT is now on the verge of capturing the all-Filipino crown, unless SMB can neutralize the Texters' speed advantage, the texters can win the Philippine Cup in the next game.
